Pros

This is a sturdy square that has large easy to read numbering. This one replaces 2 big box store cheap framing squares which were not square. This square ruler is the best quality product in the market!

Starrett is always high quality. Durable,accuracy and is lifetime last quality. Has a sturdy/high quality feel. The measurements are carved into the metal so with lots of usage, they won't wear off easily.

Cons

The tool is off by 1/32 of an inch over the short side. It comes with a thick plasticy coating, presumably for rust protection, that is cheap, ugly and very difficult to remove. The coating on the flat sides chipped away in some places.

It is nice and heavy and the measurements are carved into the metal so with lots of usage, they won’t wear off easily.

It has weight to it so i know it’s sturdy.

Price

For $15 this square is everything you ca expect.

They cost more but imo, well worth the investment.
