Pros & Cons
Pros
Usb-c hub gives full speed of thunderbolt port but also lets him use his usb3 flash drive at the same time. Throughput to one box at a time runs about 300-380mbps sustained throughput for a transfer cue of 100gb-1tb of files. It enables me to use hard... Read More
This hub is small and compact, very lightweight. The cable is durable and adequately flexible. It's very light and portable.
Startech 4-port usb 3. Gen 2 adapter allows full read/write speed. Using crystal diskmark, results show no slowdown in hub vs i/o ports tests. Type c hub on an apple imac and an intel nuc work as well as can be expected.
I definitly recommend this addition. And, that makes this ultra convenient. Works just like it should - splits out and expands your usb landscape.
Cons
The hub itself is extremely lightweight and has a small cord. Can't get decent transfer speeds at all. Title says it all - plugged it all in, my laptop’s mb started beeping like an alarm.
Highlights
Quality
Build quality is superb, no flexing, rattling or gaps in the construction.

The image shows the crystaldiskmark comparison of the drive plugged into the hub versus directly into the laptop.
Price
It’s a nice little device to have but not very competitive price.
