Pros

The card is powered by the recent asmedia asm 3242 chipset. Picked this up because my motherboard usb-c did not charge my quest 2 while playing, this card does.

The only thing i don't like is the old style capacitor that could get bent off a lot more easily than the solid small capacitors that you see on the newer cards. I do wish this had a pci slot cover that ran the full height.

Cons

The problem is that devices will only connect via 2. Makes no sense, but that is what happened here. This is a 2.

The individual components are superior quality assembled with precise workmanship.

2 cards that wreak havoc with the computer, causing instabilities.

1 enclosure, 2 ssd raid 0 over 800mbps r/w, and around 950mbps with a 3-ssd raid.

Price

Can't beat this for a simple, inexpensive (~$50) upgrade to one of our old units.

In the meantime, the $50 usb card (per computer) and a $90 enclosure (per drive) saves me over two hours a week.

5 gbps, but this card with an expensive link cable only got 1.
