Pros
Solidly built, should last a long time. Only gripe is their stiffness, but they seem to hold the desired shape fine after a bit of massaging. While not super thin, at least this brings cable diameter to something more normal.
Needed shortest cable possible, even the 12 inch cables have extra to deal with. Inch length is perfect for my raspberry pi projects. While an even shorter cable would have been nice, this length is still short enough to allow close coupling.
This one works reliably with whatever i've tried it on. Works great full usb 3. Works perfectly. Works on my samsung s5.
The cables i received are exactly as advertised. Perfect for my modification.
Cons
This product has a serious flaw in its design and construction. The space inside the plug is too large and allows the contacts to disconnect from the laptop jack. Now no longer connects device to laptop.

The quality of the cable itself is excellent but it is too short for the intended purpose.
Excellent replacement for the cable that comes with the samsung t1 portable external ssd which does not work.

Just what i needed, at a good price.

I've bought many startech cables and they do not disappoint.
