Pros & Cons
Pros
Sturdy, robust and easy to install. Solid and priced right.
This is a great rack for home or small office networking equipment. It's quite sturdy and was very easy to assemble and install. Perfect for a small communications closet under the stairs.
This rack mounts 16” on center, so it is right on the studs in standard walls. The mounting points are also conveniently 16 apart, or the standard width of your studs. Even though these racks are not technically mountable, they sit flush on top of eac... Read More
A 24 ports cisco switch, a 24 ports cat6 patch panel and an apc surge arrest unit. It is deep enough for patch panels or small switches. Holds my 48 port switch and a shelf for other peripherals.
Love it. Would buy again/recommend. Looks fantastic. Go ahead and purchase.

Packaging/appearance
I installed the 24-port unmanaged switch, 24-port patch panel, 26-port coaxial patch panel, and the power strip.
But the packaging is lacking and the unit was absolutely mangled, broken welds even.
Other than that (and the poor packaging) it works great.
I don't have anything heavy in it, but it has resisted my test tugging.
Competitiveness
I have a 24-port switch, patch bar, power bar, shelf with 2 sonos amps on it, a nas, smartthings hub, and arlo router on top, w... Read More

One you need to insert small snapin nuts to hold the rack equipment and they dont give you enough nuts to fill in the rack tapped rails would have been easier and the instructions were terrible actually there were no assembly instructions

It is not your standard depth rack so in adding a shelf i had to rig up an extra framing around the back to prevent the self from preventing the mounting

Startechs product page indicates that the unit includes all hardware necessary to assemble and install components however if you are installing 1u components it only includes enough screws and nuts to install 4 components
