Pros

This is a very robust product. Yes, they're expensive but especially for shelving/powering, i go for quality. More than enough hardware included as well. Highly satisfied with the product.

Casters/wheels are solid and add mobility to the rack unit. I love that it is on wheels but has the bolted feet that i can use to stabilize the rack once its in position. Welds are clean and solid, paint job is clean with no blemishes.

If you can assemble ikea furniture, then this is a breeze. It's made of very sturdy, powder coated steel. Even if the outer packaging is damaged, the steel components should be fine.

I wish they had a smaller half-sized loop that mounted internally on the inside edge instead. Would keep cable routing cleaner. Plenty of space for switches, servers, shelves, and drawers.

Cons

The steel frame members are heavy, and they are packaged only in a single, thin layer of cardboard. The packages kept ripping open, exposing the steel and scuffing the paint off. None of the parts are labeled.

After i got them the information they requested they promptly put in a request to send me the parts i was missing.

From delivery to assembled took a bit over an hour.

I got it to house a home server (r720xd), ups and some network equipment and other things.

It comes with a lot of nice extras that show startech has put more effort into its units than most of the knock-offs.

If you can assemble ikea furniture, then this is a breeze.

Did look at other brands, but digging deeper led to many findings about inferior quality or lack of durability.

The startech rack seemed like a better options than many others i viewed.
