While this splitter provides the exact same excellent quality display on both monitors, it does not extend the display.
Both split the split/duplicated the monitor but they also dimmed the monitors considerably.

You need to buy an adapter like startech gc15hsf gender changer to work, less than $3.
Primary reason for buying this product was because of price.
