My rig is a macpro 3,1. Installed easily, straight forward driver installation. Plug and play under linux ( kernel 3. Symba makes a card based on the jmb363 and another based on this same si chipset.

Sony vgc-rb52 desktop. Both hard drives in the dual docking station can be detected by the computer. The shape of the card ensures that the fan for my pcie video card is not blocked by this adapter.

Works good and did not have to jump through hoops to install, had it hooked up to a mybook 4tb drive in a few minutes.

Works perfectly with my hp workstation and startech satadock22ue dual docking.

I got my quadbay icydock working through esata within minutes after installing the driver.

I have used the cheapo esata port version running off the not-used 2nd dvd drive port inputs for a year or two.

Price

0 throughput speeds, this esata card is a great value.

I paid $30 for it, pretty good price.

Nonetheless, the pcie card is very inexpensive.
