Pros

Worked perfectly out of the box in my msi b350m mortar motherboard. Installed a samsung 970 evo plus with is. Works in a mac pro 2010 running mojave. Each sata connector needs to be connected to the motherboard sata controller port.

When no nmve/pcie ssd is installed in the adapter card, this card is completely transparent to the host/workstation. To see nvme drives, use boot menu | and scroll down to the bottom.

High-speed asm2824 switch is really performant, and delivers faster speeds than the nvme card installed directly on my motherboard. It's blazingly fast and also my machine boots from this drive. I now have a mirrored openzfs pool and it runs great.

Works flawlessly. Very neat and no spaghetti. There are more expensive solutions out there but the instructions are great.

This is a rare item that has three (yes, 3) m. Power on/off, m. Fantastic m. The m. Wish they came out with a 16x (4), m. X nmve m.

Cons

Card was not detected whatsoever by the motherboard. That's a downer, as i was hoping to have a fully solid-state build, and boot to the the drives attached to this card. Tries to boot, gets as far as loading the kernel ( linux) then reboots.

The asm1061 chipset seems to only have an outdated driver for windows 10. Windows driver only shows 2 disks. Downloaded the syba drivers from the syba site, and still not working correctly. Unable to use this device in my computer.
