If you are putting this in a place where you are not going to touch it more than 1 or 2 times a year it will do everything you might want but i might be concerned for a connection you unplug regularly or exposed to the outside air that might dry it out and cause the tab to break off

I like that it has a protection on each end so that the clip does not break off by accident if one of the ends of the cable gets caught on something

Very few of my startech cat5e cables have failed and only with darn good reason like me tripping over them and inflicting abuse
