The miserly one starar is a reflection on this problem as it's highly likely that this will not be an issue for most. Personally didn't achieve any benefit from using this over the legacy usb 2.

Quality
This cable was excellent and feels robust.
This is a really well designed and well made connection lead, also just the right length to do the job.
I have been using it now for a month, and there is no sign of play once plugged it.
No fuss and no bother with configuring anything.
Price
I was lucky to get a "used" customer return item from amazon itself for a reduced price of £14.
It is quite expensive for such a small adapter, but it is working great.
Conclusion - great cable for a great price, a bit much, but it is 1m long.

Sometimes i find cable adapters drop the connection to the connected device or just perform poorly data transfer wise

My elderly lacie quadra hard drive has an esata connector and my new chillblast desktop doesnt but has usb 3 sockets

I could actually do with another one of these as i didnt realise that the 2 x hdd dock actually required 2 x esatausb cables in order to use bot drives at the same time

I cant actually bring myself to spend that much on another cable right now so will just swap the drives over and use them one at a time when the need arises
