The overall feel is solid, and the drive caddies slot in nicely.

This makes much more sturdy for changing out the drives unlike other 2.

After approximately 6 weeks of use, one of the fans has developed an intermittent (fairly) annoying whining sound.

It's near impossible to get a 7mm thick drive to engage the sata and power connector in the bay.

You'll need a spacer at an addition $5 to $9, available from another vendor.

Shipping

The item arrived on time and in the advertised condition.

Competitiveness

There are cheaper ones out there, but i wasn't a fan of the locking mechanism.

Other than that i've always been happy with startec products.
