Regarding 3840x2400 resolution this from the manual34resolutions exceeding 2560x1600 can be obtained by using a lower refresh rate

Extra usb ports for sharing external hard drive etc one carveat though it you switch to a different computer the drive will only work with the current computer and disconnect from the previous one

The dvi portdual link is not compatible with my 30in dell monitorsingle link i had to use a dvi adaptor

The fix here was to leave an old ps2type keybaord and spare usb mouse i taped over the optical port plugged into the 4700 and tucked behind the desk

After the video card swap the video kept working during switching
