Pros

Front panel 4 port hub to accomplish this. Now i have a front powered usb2 connection which works fine through this card. Works fine in my lenovo desktop. Works super with ubuntu and with front panel hub plugged into the internal port.

Highly recommend this one. Can't ask for more. Thank you and thank you startech.

Plug the seagate into a usb 2. Port. Then umount the drive, unplug it and plug it into the usb 3. Port. Will need an external psu for unpowered usb devices or creative internal wiring.

Cons

It just feels gimmicky. Reseated the card, reinstalled the software, nothing works. Never worked right with my oculus rift.

Easy to install and speeds are incredible.

This one has its own drivers on disc and has been working flawlessly.
