Startech exercises tight quality control over its vendors. This one is no exception. It is also covered by a2 year warranty.
This one is usb-c hub with ausb-c import port. It is nicely sized, and includes a couple of 3.
One plug in, all my devices synch, and boom. Gen 2 external enclosure ( nst-270a31-bk) it plugs into the usb c adapter on the computer. Can connect a charger and an external disk drive at the same time.
Cons
I now have to copy over 8gb of data and checksum it to see if it is recoverable without being corrupted. The manufacturer's note in the q&a is completely inaccurate. The device has to be compatible with thunderbolt.

The cable is a bit short and quality is good but not great.

Just think the price is alittle high.

I can't say it is especially fast but adequate for my uses.

I have several startech products and have never had any problems with them.
1 gen 1) and only capable of 5gbps and does not fully utilize the usb c standard.
1 gen2 speeds on what you hook to it, but sadly, i couldn’t get more than usb3.

I have it hooked up to my motherboards rear usbc port and the cable is not long enough for this to sit flat on the desk so its just kinda hanging there
