The sleek black color blends in perfectly with my other tech gear. The build quality is solid and it feels like a cable that will last for a long time. Very sturdy, and the materials used are above average. Solidly built2. Priced very reasonably.
The cable is sturdy and the base has some good weight so it does not move around.
Cons
It is too late to return the item, but i want to warn people off this product due to that design flaw that lead to the problem. Call quality is mediocre. This isn't good when your trying to read/write to it.

The startech is defective in a way that exhibits itself only with some devices. There is some small but non-negligible resistance in the power and/or ground line of this extension, which causes a voltage drop when current is drawn.
