The startech wire im linking to has 23 awg guage wire while this one has 24 awg guage

Even thought the 25 awg wire can pass all the tests id rather have the thicker wire if available for the same price

Its not much of a difference as far as the thickness and flexibility for the whole cable but thicker wire should offer better resistance and may be better in worse conditions

The 500mhz wire has to have a plastic separator in the the middle of the 4 twisted pair to prevent cross talk

If you really want full speed you have to have the plastic insulator and solid copper which is why its stiff
