The design is nice and it's really cool that you get a mounting panel. I have it mounted on my desk curtain so it is out of the way. Nice cables as well.
It is well built and has a nice solid feel. Can't say enough good praises about this. Does the job nicely.
Cons
I have random issues with my headset which works fine if i plug it in to the laptop. It looks great but not functional at all.

I went with the metal option, and i like that it comes with a metal mounting bracket as well.

Reason why most hubs can only handle a few peripherals at a time is because your hub is using your computers power in order to power itself

Had to send the first one back as we received a knockoff instead of the startech one but that was easy and quick
