The price is not - this should be about half of what they are selling it for.
It is a bit more expensive but you get a nice piece of hardware.
Packaging/appearance
Came with brackets so it could be mounted in any position.
Competitiveness
Unfortunate, as i chose this unit over startech's similar hb30c5a2cst, which does have the dedicated charging port.
Otherwise, consider the equally expensive hb30c5a2cst or wait for a sale.
