Pros

There was nothing to dislike about this adapter. Cost is reasonable, and works great. Serves its purpose.

The dvi male part, the long pin has 4 extra pins around it. The adapter works great and is very useful for multi monitor connections. Worked perfectly to connect an older monitor with dvi to my laptop with hdmi out.

Cons

Monitor knows its plugged in but no signal. Which is incompatible with the 24 pin. The failure with the dell computer plus dell monitor (that worked with a different adapter) continues to suggest adapter problems.

It came broken. Sole redeeming feature is that there was no difficulty getting a refund. Don't waste the money or the time.
