Dongle adapter adds bluetooth connectivity through a usb port to older computers and laptops. "i'm so glad i bought this instead of buying a new laptop just to get my bluetooth headset to work.
The net-wireless/bluez package according to your linux distribution's instructions. A quick trip to control panel shows all of the available bt devices in range.
Cons
Once the headset disconnects or i power it off, getting it to reconnect properly is a pain. Unwilling to spend more $ to try other mfgs bt dongles and other bt audio adapters.
Device is worthless because startech is including unlicensed installation software with it. Windows was supposed to automatically detect and then install drivers. It appears that the fault lies with microsoft and their apparent intransigence to addres... Read More

I like this product for wire free connection but it breaks easily

The built in bt adapter seems to get a very weak signal likely because it sits right next to all those rf noisey ports

To get it to work on mac all you need to do is plug it in

You should see the bluetooth icon in the menu bar turn off and then on again

Also allmost of your bluetooth paired history will be lost since this is a new adapter

To get airpods to work with this i just had to remove them from my device list first

This also erases the pairing info from your icloud account which is synced between all devices
