If you have a short run to a printer, this is overkill, but it won't let you down. It’s for all cat 5 applications. Ordering from startech on amazon saves those funds and allows quality network equipment and cables to be installed.

Highlights
Quality
A good value for the quality and purpose.
Makes a nice tight fit with the end connector locks.
Price
The price is very reasonable, and if you need only cat 5e, then there may be little reason to get more recent cable iterations.
Good price, solid cable, no complaints here.
Competitiveness
No issues with my cables, no smell, worked great in my 4x lag between a synology nas and workstation
The star tech snagless ethernet cable performed fantastically!
I needed a long cat5 cable to get from my wall outlet to my modem/router.

Even the newest cat 8 cables are available for just a few dollars more so if your patch cables tend to last a lifetime and you envision wanting to continue grabbing it off the pegboard as needed for a decade or so to come im uncertain as to why you wouldnt get a more recent cable type especially as they are all backward compatible with earlier setups
