Converts dvii to vga however my particular computer would not allow both a dp and dvii to vga connection at the same time only one or the other so i had to return it

This a passive analogue dvii adapter which is completely useless if youre trying to connect it to an active digital dvid port

Just be aware the max resolution supported by vga is as 1920x1200 which is the limit of monitors
