I bought this to work with gopro hero 3 cameras and it works great with them well the black edition hero 3 the white apparently has a broken hdmi port currently but they may fix it some day

Tried one of those hdmi to dvi dongles with a thin cable micro hdmi to hdmi but the quality or lack thereof of the dongle and the thin hdmi cable meant that did not work well at all

Update 2 this adapter will not work on the new microsoft surface pro which changes from micro hdmi to mini displayport

Much movement or jiggling of the pad and the connects come apart a bit and you9 lose picture
