Pros

This is what you need to make an external mic work on an ipad/iphone. Mark the microphone input from the adapter with pink nail polish.

Cons

Spots that can make the crackling noise. Would not transmit sound out or audio in. Essentially bypassing the back of the connector and straight to the outer shield.

Company insists it should work under normal circumstances. Internal wiring is not compatible with apple’s iphone. Only works with a microphone having a trs plug. My mic works when plugged into the phone but not when plugged in the splitter.
