I first chose this little unit to solve an issue with a computer running macosx because startech was one of the few manufacturers of these devices that stated that their product was mac compatible

It is also recognized and can be used by virtual machines under virtual box or vmware

I like it it doesn’t work well with a otter box so i have to remove it before being able insert the usb into the iphone
