High quality - works perfectly, using it with my surface pro to power a dvi monitor (using it in conjunction with the startec adaptor).
The output to the led monitor is great and i haven't noticed any picture quality issues.
As soon as i plugged this in i noticed the graphics quality was a lot better than before on my samsung 24 inch monitor.

This short lead plugs into the pro 2 display port and then uses a full-size hdmi cable to connect it to the tv.
Convenient adapter to have for a thinkpad t440 series laptop, which has a mini-dp output but no hdmi.
Much cheaper than the branded apple jobbies.

Not worth the risk to your components using the cheap rubbish particularity if they are carrying a power supply that can damage expensive equipment on the occasions when it shorts across to the wrong pins etc

If this doesnt work its likely your laptop has a video card that doesnt allow the converter to pass audio through

Only tip is to ensure the male connector is inserted the right way round as with all mini display ports if you dont and apply pressure you can easily damage the socket on your device
