It's well built and compact. The build quality is immediately evident. No complaints here.

This is a quality product at a huge discount from outrageously overpriced apple store version that gets low reviews. It feels a little flimsy, but i haven't had any issues using this with my 2012 macbook pro retina.

This adapter works well and is much better made than the less expensive versions from syba. They always seem to have a simple solution for my endless computer tech headaches. This works perfectly for that.

This is just one of the few cabled i have purchased from startech and i have had no problems with any of them so far. This unit works flawlessly and along with the usb adapter, i would buy again and recommend to a friend. Startech support says works f... Read More

Cons

There is some 'internal short-circuit' and my display flickers every-now-and-then. Misleading product. This causes my monitor to flicker about 4 times per minute in a random sort of pattern.

This cable for the price is amazing and a lot better deal than the one you can purchase through apple.
