Card works like a champ. Works on linux systems without special configuration.

The only downside to this card is the port placement. If possible, move the ports down just a little and this is a perfect product. It always connects and connects between 2. Gen 2 ports.

Cons

Something called asmedia usb 3. Crashes and tells me it's not compatible with my os. Apparently the asmedia chipsets is not compliant with pcie specification 2 requiring pcie lane negotiation.

Quality

Works great and now i can plug my iphone 11 pro max & airpods pro’s directly to computer when needed.

The oculus cable for super high speed data transfer for vr gaming plugged right into this usb-c slot and exceeded my expectations.

It was not reliable - fine for small transfers - but disconnected frequently on larger transtfers.

The card dropped right in and, on the latest windows release, needed no drivers to be installed (windows handled all that).

Price

It is quite expensive but it get the job done.

The value was expectedly within my range.

Competitiveness

I had a similar card (same brand) for usb a, and replaced it with this new usb-c card.

I used to compete with these guys and they make damned great products.

I've tried other amazon brands for different pcie related cards and they never work.

I also tried with different brand cards against this.
