Delivered as advertised with prime. Worth every penny. Startech to the rescue again.

Before plugging anything in and messing around. Power the drive up before attaching the usb to pc. Also about the power switch shorting.

Cons

Product description and picture do not add up. The instructions are very slim. It's totally unusable. When i plug it in to a usb 2 port, it comes right up without a problem, but when i try to access the connected drive, it locks my pc.

Thanks for manufacturing something so useful for such a great price.

Need to cut price in half to be a fair price to pay for so few of cables… really!

It is a little more convenient and did not cost much.

Packaging/appearance

Everything i needed was included--and if i want to use it on an older hard drive the kit i need for that is in the box as well.

Although the packaging and instructions make no mention of compatibility with usb 2.

The packaging and what is included is well thought out.

Competitiveness

In my opinion, this is the ideal cable with multi function capability versus one of the less expensive cables with less pin ports.

Idesame processes as sata but the star connect plugs into the idehd directly.

I really wouldn’t risk it on any cheap chinese no name brand.
