Bought this connector to get stuff off an old laptop hard drive. Works great with the usb to laptop and the sata connector to the drive. Only thing i dislike is that it doesn't offer a power switch. Power on by plugging in the usb may risk pulling the... Read More

I now have a worthless $11 cable that will occupy my junk drawer. I know it's not my ssd, as i can plug it in to the old cable and the drive mounts right away.

Amazon did offer me a refund and was told; it's cheaper to refund and to toss away the adapter, instead of doing the return process. As best as i can tell the item is not eligible for return because it does not have a serial number printed on the cabl... Read More

The adapter works great and seems well built.

Can't boot (without sdcard) with this on raspi 3b, incompatible hardware or draws too much power

The connection to the drive is very loose and makes me scared to even bump the drive for fear of losing connection and unmounting.

Price

It does what it is supposed to do, but it seems very pricey at $40.

I think $20 would be much more reasonable.
