Pros & Cons
Pros
The lacie drive has an esata interface in addition to firewire. The usb-c to esata interface works as expected with the drive. It is possible to use it to transfer data from a datum to an imac.
Cons
It only supports a single device. Supposedly, they have a different product that will support a multi-drive enclosure. Does not work at all with my dell precision 6400. Waste of money and will be returning.

I am very pleased with the speed, but the problem is that i can't use it properly with my hard drive dock, as it only supports one drive.
Competitiveness
I had an old lacie 2tb hd and needed to connect to my 2018 macbook pro.
I have a an old 2tb g-drive (1 micro usb, 2 fw800, 1 esata) that i think, pre-dates thunderbolt.
