Pros

Plug and play for sure. No audio or video lag. Had my setup back in less than 2 minutes. Only small inconvenience is that it made itself the default sound playback device.

Needed a way to have dual ext monitors powered by a laptop with only one usb 3. Port. The instructions show you how to download and run one executable file. The system restarts, you plug both monitors into this thing via hdmi cables and presto.

0 laptop connection to drive multiple screens, but you must download and install the driver software from the startech.

After doing some research i found the startech.

Competitiveness

I have been impressed with some other startech products, and this one is especially pleasing.

My home office has a ultrawide screen but not as much area as a dual monitor setup.

Nothing worked until i purchased this 4-hdmi with usb-3 adapter.
