Before i put the drives in my servers i run a few burn in tests including a badblock test on the device before i bless it

Anyway i was doing this with another external usb caddy worked ok but took sooooo long to complete the tests

So i started to look for a caddy that either had direct sata or esata connections so the caddy would treat the drive like it were any internal drive to the system

I dont find the using the eject button to lift a hard disk off of the connector any easier than not using it
