I have tried adapters which did not work well

Since there was no open usb plug on the motherboard i had to buy a short usb cable wire the adapter out of the pc case to connect to the external usb ports on the back of the pc in order to do this i had to push out one of the open slots on the back of the pc

I used this adapter in a hp dl380 g9 server to connect an older ps2 kvm switch to this server which doesnt have ps2 ports

It needs a power source to make it work which most cheap ps2 to usb converters dont do
