I have no doubt this unit will run for at least 5 more years (with the occasional dust cleaning) comes with a nice glass container. I have yet to see how much electricity it consumes a month and will update this review accordingly.
Water tastes and smells odorless after it goes through the distiller. The water tastes so good and is sparkly clear. I believe i now have the safest healthiest water possible.

Everything is stainless steel, and it doesn't appear they scrimped on any part of the design. The steam pure's filter is housed in a hard plastic and uses a stainless filter inside of it. This is the cheapest one on the market.

Price
It's a little loud, pretty big, and pretty expensive so it loses a star, but it works well so four stars.
In the end, it ended up costing over $100 for the heating element repair in shipping costs alone.
The price is pretty steep, but clean water is important enough for me to make such an investment.

It arrived quickly and when i first started it i did not hear anything.
It started out early with email confirmations and tracking for my delivery.
Packaging/appearance
The steampure comes well-protected in a really big box.
So i bought this one, unpacking was great.
Competitiveness
This unit should last a long time, much better than the r2d2 looking units, yes i've had a few of those.
At first i was looking at the cheaper plastic ones from several other companies.

I was expecting it to be really loud because in some of the other reviews i read said that it was fairly loud and it took a while to start because it needs to actually warm up before it begins to distill so after i drained it and tried to start distilling it i thought it didnt work and i was pretty upset
