Pros

The chair is great, and the adjustments are really where it shines. No visible defects, no weird noises, and no adjustment issues. The steelcase chair has great reviews and i ordered this unit that was supplied by chairorama.

The cushion is definitely firm when you first get it, but it softens up after a while. Build quality is fantastic. Sleek and elegant.

Great design. Works well. Nothing is stuck, everything is functional. That is pretty cool. Hence my purchase.

There is no creaking from the chair at all as i move around or lean back. Lumbar adjustments for height and firmness.

Cons

The back is just this flimsy plastic with some fabric over probably 50 cents of foam. Only 3 pieces to slide into another; wheel base, chair, and gas cylinder.

The arms are way too short. The back lumbar support is the only plus. I am constantly having to push myself back into it, back against the backrest. The armrests are made of plastic.

"it's not a bad chair, but it's very overpriced for the comfort and quality that you get" unacceptable quality for a $899 msrp chair.

The cushion is thin and firm. After 15-30 minutes of sitting, the cushion warms up and bottoms out. The end result is that you find yourself sitting on the very hard seat pan with no cushioning.

It creaks when gently moving it. The leaning back motion is jerky, like it is ratcheting back.

I liked it so much that when i had to go back to my office, i bought a second one for there, even though the price had jumped $200.

I'm always price sensitive, but willing to pay for a quality product, which this is.

The chair i received was brand new in a steelcase box with all the original packaging and labels.

The leap chair arrived fully assembled (the packaging was actually quite impressive!

All i had to do was pull it out of the box.

Best to have two people to lift out of the box.
