If you wash them make sure the actual grinding mechanism is completely dry as it will get gunked up and not work if its wet at all

Wasnt sure if they were dishwasher safe so i handwashed one and put the other in the dishwasher and it came out fine

Theres a feeling of disconnect between the grinding barrel and the lip of the glass im not sure these will last for 2 years

The grinder itself is ceramic or some other type of stone it easily and smoothly pulverizes salt and pepper the adjuster is a bit fiddly
