Pros & Cons
Pros
I hang thistle socks for my local finches in a feeding structure that has a little roof and a deep rim at the base to catch the surprisingly large amount of seed that falls out of just about any brand of thistle/nyjer sock feeder. They have the exact ... Read More
Nice metering of contents. Well-made, sturdy, and better quality than must products we have. The rounded top keeps them off it.
It's getting to where i'm inviting the neighbors and friends to bring their lawn chairs. The birds love 'em.
Cons
It's empty in about two days. Had to dispose of the sock. Due to the defect on the rod not running through the inside part of the lid, the lid slants on top.
The post and bottom pan is too slick for them to perch on. There are other much cheaper feeders that work better.
The fabric is very lightweight. Looks and feels flimsy. It’s just not the durable piece that i was hoping it would be.

I would give this 5 stars except for the fact that when squirrels hang on them the cable eventually comes lose from the connector that forms the hanging loop

The tray keeps stuff off the ground and even attracts ground foraging birds to fly up
