Pros

Big, sturdy pieces without stickers. The box has a great vinyl like feel that is sure to be more rugged than most of our household games. The board itself is rather rugged.

Stratego is a fun strategy game that's easy to learn and fun. It's kind of like chess and requires some thought and strategy to play. Best of all, it's the type of game where your opponent will gain tactical skills over time and become more of a chall...  Read More

The old game was designed with the highest ranking officials starting at 1. Well they are redone now like the original game with painted ranks. The red is unnoticeable unless you look really hard, in which you can immediately identify which piece is t...  Read More

Cons

For some incomprehensible reason they have reversed the numbering so the general is now 10 instead of 1, the 9 is now a 2, and the spy is a 1 instead of an s. The printed numbers on the pieces are so small that it's really hard to read. They spend mor...  Read More

Quality

The game is great and the quality is exactly what you would expect when purchasing.

Great game, great board, 4 stars just because the pieces felt cheap, thin and hollow plastic, if they were a bit thicker and so...  Read More

They are quite small and cheaply made.

I had purchased the older version from walmart a few years ago and after a week the stickers for the pieces were peeling off.

Price

You can’t find this in stores anywhere near me so i was happy to find it online for a good price.

Not quite the one i remember as a kid, but i wasn’t about to drop $60 on stratego waterloo.

I felt it was a bit pricey, but the quality is high enough i can overlook it.

Shipping

Within a few days, they sent two replacement pieces.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was snug and the board quality is great.

The game is will packed with colorful and professional graphics.

The plastic containers they come in have labels for where all the pieces go.

Competitiveness

The rankings are reversed now (lower number used to trump higher numbers) but it's not a big deal.

They need to go back to the design of the 60's through 70's.
