Original number for the pieces with field marshall being a one and scout being a nine, 40 pieces per player allowing to go four rows deep in your set up instead of three rows with the newer versions of the game that only have 30 pieces per player, and the pieces are painted with that silver metallic paint you will remember from the original version of the game.  Read Less
