Pros & Cons
Pros
Streamlight has great battery life, easy-to-use controls, and multiple light/brightness modes. Built-in diffused globe makes lighting more comfortable.
Red light and sos flashing is a smart feature, one i haven’t seen on another lantern. I like the round base of the lantern which fits comfortably in my hand, letting me control the light settings with my thumb. This is especially handy when i remove t... Read More
Cons
The light barely extends one foot out. Why on earth would you have the most critical component of this lantern be proprietary is a flawed business decision. Amazon is aware of the problem now and they will check on it.
Advertises 10,400 mah rechargeable battery. Not water resistant as claimed. Well built and compact but not what was advertised.
This lanter has to be charged off of a wall pug dc charger. This implies a very short useful battery life. Costco has a 3 pack of vaguely similar lamps that are much better, for $20 for 3.
Highlights
Quality
They are easy to use, very bright, long-lasting, but my favorite feature is that they are ergonomically brilliant.
Great lantern, will give light to a while room.
Hands down best lantern on the market and in such a small package.
The batteries which had 2-3 cycles on them both lasted under a minute less than the fresh new one.
Price
I knocked it down one star because it -is- a wee bit overpriced in my opinion.
This is a plus when you take a look at the cost of batteries.
It’s 2023 and not using a standard like usb-c is pretty inexcusable, especially when they sell replacement power cables for like $20.
It is a little expensive, but it is a quality piece of equipment and i would recommend it.
Competitiveness
Have purchased and currently use other models to include various lights from the protac, polytac, tlr, and headlamp series.
Experience with other streamlight products suggests it is worth the price.

One thing thats important to me is most streamlights also come with some type of actual water rating because in my opinion emergency gear should be able to get wet or submerged and still function
