Pros & Cons
Pros
This flashlight is virtually indestructible and extremely bright. This light also takes either cr123 batteries or the rechargable 18650 batteries. They generally last me about 2 weeks before needing a recharge.
Light comes with a two sided clip, meaning you can clip it on to your ballcap or the inside of your pants. The clip is awesome as it clips to your pocket, but also clips in the reverse direction so you can slide it into the bill of a baseball cap. Wha... Read More
It has a sturdy hefty feel, it's solid and inflexible. Solidly built, easy to disassemble and so far reliable operation. Much better than all the generic chinese versions out there.
Its my edc. Not really a deal breaker.
Cons
Streamlight is a third rate version of surefire. I'm a * for overpaying for this given the wretched battery life. Very disappointed in this battery hog. Have bought more reliable flashlights for less money.
It sits on my nightstand and does not see a lot of use. They aren't as bright as advertisited, overheat easily, and are pretty much as janky as any other flashlight made in china. My iphone flashlight is brighter.
Highlights
Quality
Good construction, i use and appreciate the multidirectional clip all the time.
Very bright, well made and seem to keep batteries a long time.
The button only started that after i dropped it 40 ft in the air to the concrete.
It’s been ran over, put through the wash, been to the bottom of the lake, and dropped more times than i can count.
Price
I’ve had tac lights before that cost $150- $200this one is just as good.
Not sure i’d feel the same at normal msrp, but for what i paid i regret not buying two.
The 2x-l is essentially just that at a fraction of the cost!
Shipping
We had to buy another and have it shipped to our destination since we weren't checking bags.
Competitiveness
I like the brand so much so that i own several models for edc as well as weapon mounted lights.
I've use other streamlight edc's and this is my favorite by quite a ways.
There are hundreds of other lights, many of which are significantly cheaper, that can make the same claims.
Love the 10 tap options, and compared to several other lights in my stable (streamlight, surefire, cloud, fenix) this has the l... Read More
