Pros

A tir optic (not a metallic reflector) can be designed to focus more of the light into the spot beam. It's also a very large optic, so that spot beam is very tight. These are very tough and durable lights.

Cons

The spring quality is hands down some of the worst i have ever seen. It's fairly tall and very thin with inadequate temper. They work great but there's one huge flaw.

Light, resistant, waterproof, long range, clear light, resistant material.

The torch is very well constructed tough and will last many many years of use.

The flood part of the beam bounces off the stuff in the air and blocks your vision with a bright glare.

Before this light i was using an older model of the survivor, the battery died after and had to be recharged almost daily.

Price

I don't know if that was a cost saver or if there is a reason someone would want it excluded.

I found this flashlight new in a discount box for $4 and this has been my go to light.

Don't cheap out on your light, it's literally a lifesaver.

Packaging/appearance

My box came smashed and with a hole in it but the light was in good condition and nothing was missing.

Competitiveness

The tir optic can do this in a much flatter package than a reflector, and it sticks out a lot less than the older models.
