The old supports wont come off easily unless you push up on the liftgate because its so heavy that it crimps the support between the ball head fasteners

The liftgate is also too heavy to remain up with only one arm so it would be helpful to work with another person

Not the fault of the arm but the installer if things do not go 1 23 as they should

First arm went on easily but second arm i could not get to the right position to pop it on the hatch fitting

Could not lift or stretch the hatch high enough and could not shorten the arm with is extended and under spring tension until its in place and the hatch is lowered

Ill deem it a good product and my install issue is likely my unique problem just that you cant hold the hatch up and position the replacement arm at same time with out assistance my step ladder treed but couldnt do it
