Can definitely recommend. This stud finder does the job perfectly, finds studs as you'd expect. For the price, this is excellent. Would recommend this item.
It detects studs very accurately and also detects wires in the wall. Was able to pinpoint a gas pipe behind plasterboard. Also used the stud detector on 1/2inch to pinpoint plastic speedfit pipework behind the plasterboard.
It is very simple to calibrate and it finds studs very easily and accurately. The calibration is easy. No more trial and error, it finds the wall frames easily, so you know not to drill there.
It is lightweight and straightforward to use. Used it today on the job. New favourite tool. Feels pretty sturdy too.
Cons
This is cheeky and unethical. Despite checking twice when drilling through the wall there was no stud present.

It may start making noise a few centimetres away from a plug although the cable may be located directly beneath the plug location

Only used it to confirm positions on known studs and cables to verify its accuracy
