Pros

Highly recommend for in-home house projects. Easy to use and simple to use.

Very precise and made locating studs easy. Works great. Tool has a notch on the top where i drew my line. Need to make sure that i adhere it to the wall and stud.

Cons

Easy to use, easy to read, but completely inaccurate. Doesn't work on my new drywall. After a few months of use the pads on the back fell off and every time it finds the center of a stud.

For plaster walls this thing is garbage. This thing is designed like junk, feels like junk and works like junk.
