The translucent plastic lets you see the contents without opening a compartment door. The door latches are secure but not difficult to operate. It locks tighly which is good for travel.

The bottom of the front is round and rolls with any weight on top when filling the box. I now use the term jumbo if i want extra-large but that does not always yield the desired results. Hello, hello, these are just standard-sized pill boxes.
