Pros

The gate is very sturdy and lightweight enough so it is not cumbersome. It is very easy to latch and unlatch and it has been a very good purchase. The only issue i have is that the screws to attach it to the wall are barley long enough to do anything.... Read More

It comes with the items to drill but it has instructions on how to install without drilling which is big for us since we are renting. This is easy to setup, and it looks nice.

There is a staircase leading down from the main floor between the den and kitchen. Our banister has a small piece on the bottom and we have baseboard on the wall side.

Cons

The latch is made of cheap plastic. The bottom bracket is open on both sides. The metal hinge in the instructions show 2 places for the hinge to be secured.

The screws are not long enough to go through the gate frame, through the spacer, and then engage the drywall anchor. If you plan on mounting to a wall on the one side and have a baseboard the screws then become comically short as in you wouldn't even ... Read More
