Pros

The only issue i have is that it creates a lip on the bottom step. Other than that, this gate is cherry! There is absolutely no reason not to use a gate that has wall mounting hardware at the top of stairs.

The auto-close is a life saver with a baby and two dogs. It's a little loud when it closes, but other than that we haven't had any issues.

It is very easy to install/remove when the grandkids are not here. I admittedly didn't take the time to make sure it was 100% perfect. Easy to install.
