This product meets our needs. The color of the gate looks great with our oak banisters. We're happy with it because now the dogs will stay off the leather couch and out of the living room.

It’s sturdy enough to withstand my 2 year old shaking because he wants up or down the stairs, as well as regular use.

Both the straps that cam with the product broke.
This won't work on the bottom of the stairs, because of the way the railings are made.

We're happy with it because now the dogs will stay off the leather couch and out of the living room !

The metal rail for the side with the latch was very bent, but the box was undamaged.

It has ratchet straps so that you dont have to screw into the banisters if you dont want to

The way my banisters are set up as you can see in the picture the length of the poles didnt reach both top and bottom of my banisters together so my gate is actually off of the floor
